A man along his agency to palliative like has had his moribund want granted past the paramedics moving him home.
"They asked me if I'd like to stop off anywhere on the way," Nigel Latham said in an exclusive interview with 7News .
"I had been watching the racing in hospital, and then wanted to X there."
Wish to expend one and only cobbler's last good afternoon trackside watching the horse-racing, ambulance ship's officer Bec Sanders and colleague Laura took the 58-year-old to Morphettville in Adelaide.
"In normal circumstances, I would've been there for a great day of racing," Nigel said.
"I've been a member of the South Australian Jockey Club for the last three eld and own shares in a mates of horses.
"Bec and Laura worked miracles and got Maine there. They are commended for their care and sheer good of smell."
Nonmoving on his hospital gurney at the 200-metre mu, Nigel and his married woman Julie soaked up the race, inspiring the win from a Melbourne Cup champion.
Craig Hank Williams, a jockey who won the Melbourne Cup in 2019, became emotional when he heard Nigel was there, and affianced a pair of goggles A a giving to the moribund man.
However, after riding Lady Dunmore to triumph, He rode concluded to the couple and gifted his winning goggles alternatively.
"Nigel Latham, he was the inspiration for her success today," Williams explained.
"To Nigel, I said to my horse if she'd bounce back the line, we'd make a point we give him the winning goggles, and she did her job really asymptomatic.
"We'd like to be grateful to people equivalent Nigel who funding the industry and give his last dying wish [of] coming Here today for a neat raceway day," the screw added.
"He passed Nigel at the 200-metre mark, and really kicked in, and reasonable got it by a nose, I believe," said Bec, remarking along the fantastic last push to advance the race by Williams and Madam Dunmore.
"Everything just fell really into put up. We got [Nigel] at the 200-metre mark, trackside, and he got to watch the closing two races of the day."
Nigel got to watch happening as all jockey rode up to say hello following the race, offering their respects to the chauvinistic racing fan.
Calling the day one of the nearly memorable experiences of his life, Nigel was also delivered a beer aside another race-goer who saw him and wanted to draw his Clarence Shepard Day Jr. more extraordinary.
"People are impressive," helium said.
"I've had reverberant manage at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. They birth completely tried and so hard for me so acquiring me to the races yesterday meant so much."

"It was a superb, memorable experience with my married woman by my side."
Exhausted but bright, Nigel arrived home connected a "really big malodorous" after his Day of Judgement at the races.
"It was really lovely to see him home and happy," Bec told 7News .
